Step behind the plate with the best in the game. The USABL Umpire Association (UUA) is looking for new and experienced umpires to join the largest and most respected umpire network in the Northeast — covering all areas of New Jersey, Rockland County (NY), Staten Island, and Eastern Pennsylvania. With nearly 55,000 game assignments each year, no one in the region assigns more baseball than USABL.
When you register with us, you’re opening the door to more than just travel baseball. In addition to USABL games, our regional sub-assignors also handle Little League, High School, and Men’s League assignments throughout the state, giving you even more opportunities to stay on the field and build your experience.
Whether you’re brand new to umpiring or already experienced, USABL gives you everything you need to succeed — starting with our free, professional-level cadet training. Our clinics are led by NCAA Division I and Minor League–experienced umpires, teaching the same mechanics, positioning, and game-management techniques used at the sport’s highest levels.
USABL umpires enjoy:
Competitive pay from $60 to $125 per game, based on level and experience
Opportunities to officiate games from 7U through Men’s Leagues
Flexible scheduling — work as few or as many games as you’d like
Mentorship and growth within an established, high-level organization
A direct path for advancement — hundreds of USABL cadets have moved on to High School umpiring, and some to NCAA
If you’re at least 16 years old in 2026, love the game, and want to earn extra income while being part of a professional crew, this is your chance to get started.
