Meet the USABL Team

Bob Delahant

Bob Delahant

Founder

Baseball has played an integral part in Bob's life. In 1966, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. While stationed in Germany, he was lucky enough to be selected for the U.S. Army baseball team where he played shortstop.

Later down the road, after thirty years in the restaurant industry (including the ownership of Delahant's in Point Pleasant from 1977-1996), he decided he wanted to play baseball again, while also adding more competitive baseball to his son's little league all-star team. Bob created USABL in 1986 when it became the first amateur travel baseball league in the tri-state area.
